In case you’re wondering what I look like after I’ve driven 20 hours, this pretty much sums up the trip. Driving with 2 kids in the car, in the snow for part of the way, is definitely not my idea of a good time. From now on, I’m just going to suck it up and get on a plane. In a few short hours, the pain is over and you’re where you need to be. Holiday travel is especially tough, so luckily we don’t have to worry about that again for a while. However, with a couple of business trips coming up soon I’ve been looking around online to see where to get the latest flight deals. Anyone know of any good places to go other than the traditional orbitz.com, travelocity.com, etc. sites? I used Kayak once or twice to compare rates between all of these big sites but never booked anything.

It’s days like today that make me appreciate living in Florida. As I sit here in my “office” working I look up from my laptop screen and this is what I see. It’s mid 70s with a breeze blowing and I just finished up on a call with a client who was complaining that he had to go so he could beat the 5PM rush hour traffic to make it home for dinner. Just goes to prove that no matter how stressful you think life is, you can’t take things for granted that make life good. Just wanted to say that out loud. That is all.

Thanks to the Milsap’s for putting on their annual tree burning party again. Once again, great food, lots of drinks, and a good time had by all. You could probably see the glow from the fire for miles, and it wouldn’t surprise me if a few planes on final approach to RSW got a good show too.
